We have planned two courses; a mid-length 62Km (39mile) course and an epic 115Km (72mile) route. Both of these will be marked, with marshals at key points and water/food stations. .gpx files of the course are available below, and we will provide printed maps at registration.
Both routes start from Northington and go straight into the Itchen valley. After working your way up through Tichborne and Cheriton you’ll face the challenge of Winchester hill, and enjoy the reward of a fantastic view and water/food station at the peak. From here the routes separate; those on the epic course will continue South-East to tackle the rolling terrain in the South Downs, arching around through Buriton and East Meon. The epic course then climb back up the south side of Winchester hill and re-joins the mid-length course for the return leg. This follows quiet, fast roads back through Bramdean and Alresford, heading North-East into Wield before a flat run along the Candover valley back into Northington for drinks, cake and celebration.
Our aim is to take all the hassle out of planning a ride, and have a fun cycle through some beautiful countryside. To this end we will provide a marked course with food stations providing free food, water and snacks. We’ll provide mechanical support where possible to help with any difficulties and the venue has facilities to wash your bike, space to park cars and toilet facilities.
Once your order has been processed you will receive an email confirmation. Please print this and bring it with you. Event entry fees cannot be refunded or transferred.
